1. To conduct research on gender-related topics;
2. To serve as a Think-tank by creating avenues for interdisciplinary research and training in matters relating to gender;
3. To foster community engagements and partnerships;
4. To offer trainigs,workshops and seminars on gender studies;
5. To provide a platform for networking and collaborations;
6. To encourage women to acquire knowledge and skills that will enable them to actively participate in the economic, social, political, religion and other aspects on nation affairs;
7. To enhance the capacity of students for an in-depth gender analysis from various dimensions and disciplines;
8. To establish, nurture and sustain an international journal on gender studies and research;
9. To provide an umbrella for policy formulation, monitoring and evaluation as well as engagement in the area of gender;
10. To create partnership with Governments, Non-governmental Organizations, (NGOs), Faith-based Organizations and Development Partners for promoting gender equity;
